The facility is expected to open early 2027

November 8, 2025: Basis Industrial is developing a climate-controlled self-storage facility in Rockville Centre, New York. Expected to open early 2027, the building at 117 N. Long Beach Road will comprise 121,500 square feet. The company purchased the site in 2022 for $5.5 million. The $27 million construction loan was provided by NexBank and NexPoint. The property will be branded and operated by real estate investment trust (REIT) Public Storage Inc.  Delray Beach, Florida-based Basis owns more than 5 million square feet of self-storage and industrial real estate, with up to an additional 3 million square feet expected by the end of the year.
