The property has been acquired for £10.8 million

September 26, 2025: U.K. self-storage operator Big Yellow Group PLC purchased a property in London for £10.8 million on which it plans to build a self-storage facility. Plans for the half-acre lot in the Bethnal Green district call for a 68,000-square-foot building. The acquisition is expected to close in 18 months. Founded in 1998, Big Yellow Group operates 109 self-storage locations in the U.K. under the Big Yellow Self Storage and Armadillo brand names, with most concentrated in Greater London and Southeast England.
