The property has been acquired for $23 million

August 9, 2024: Kennards Self Storage purchased a former disaster-recovery center in the Chatswood area of Sydney, Australia, for $23 million with plans to convert it to self-storage. Once complete, the five-story building at 26 Smith St. will comprise 60,752 square feet. Built in the early 1990s, the structure served as a data center until repurposed in 2018. Founded in 1973, Kennards operates approximately 100 self-storage locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
