May 9, 2024: A-Metro Movers, which operates 13 self-storage facilities in New York, is seeking permission to build a new location in Guilderland, New York. Plans for 2360 Western Ave. include demolition of the existing M&M Motel and a single-family home and construction of a two-story, 27,000-square-foot building. The project will also include three cold-storage structures encompassing 5,100 to 6,800 square feet each. The Guilderland Planning Board asked for input from the state’s department of transportation after members expressed concerns about the site layout. It wants to ensure that emergency vehicles can navigate around the cold-storage buildings.
