The project is expected to be complete in early 2025

March 28, 2024: Bakke Development Corp. and Batson-Cook Development Co. (BCDC) are developing a self-storage facility in Weslaco, Texas. Plans for the 2.6-acre site at 1115 Dragonfly Ave. include a three-story building comprising 86,975 net rentable square feet in 773 units. Independent Contractors Inc. is serving as the general contractor, with Alamo Architects Inc. providing the design. Halff Associates will oversee the civil engineering. 

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in San Antonio, Bakke specializes in multi-family, office, self-storage, shopping centers and urban-infill redevelopment projects in Texas. 

Founded in 1963 and based in Atlanta, BCDC provides development and capital solutions primarily through partnerships on commercial real estate projects.
