The new 105,900-square-foot facility features 890 climate-controlled units and marks the completion of DXD Capital’s three-property development partnership.

October 4, 2026: DXD Capital, a self-storage developer and investor, has opened a new self-storage facility in Richmond, Virginia.

Located at 615 Mitchell St., the three-story facility was developed on a 3-acre site and features approximately 105,900 square feet of storage space across 890 climate-controlled units. The property will be managed and branded by Extra Space Storage Inc.

Evans Construction Inc. served as the contractor for the project, with SAA Architects Inc. providing architectural design services.

The Richmond facility marks the third and final property developed by DXD Capital in partnership with Mar-Gulf Management Inc. and MDI Capital LLC, the international real estate subsidiaries of Kuwait Financial Centre. The other two facilities in the partnership are located in Georgetown, Texas, and Sarasota, Florida, which opened in April and June 2026, respectively.

With the completion of the Richmond project, DXD Capital has concluded this three-property development partnership, further expanding its presence in the U.S. self-storage market.
