Two-story facility adds 968 climate-controlled units to the local market

August 1, 2026: Space Shop Self Storage has opened a new self-storage facility in Batavia, Illinois, expanding its presence with a two-story property at 2345 Mill St. The newly opened facility features 968 climate-controlled storage units, offering customers additional storage options in the area.

The company marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Batavia city officials, the CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, and Space Shop employees. The event celebrated the company's newest facility and its addition to the local business community.

Space Shop Self Storage currently operates 92 locations across nine states, and the Batavia facility further expands its growing portfolio of self-storage properties.
