The project will create 70 jobs over the next three years
June 9, 2021: Trachte Building Systems is expanding its roof-manufacturing facility in Vernon, Alabama. The company acquired the property last year when it purchased Roof Mart Cos. The acquisition will create 70 jobs over the next three years.
Trachte plans to invest over $11.5 million in building improvements and new machinery and equipment at the Roof Mart facility, located at 1199 County Road 9 in Vernon, which currently employs 56 people and expected to employ over 110 people in Vernon by 2025.
“Trachte’s expansion project in Lamar County will have a major impact on the local economy, and its job creation will bring new opportunities to the hard-working citizens in Vernon. By selecting Sweet Home Alabama, I know the company has picked the right place to pursue its growth plans.” Said by Alabama Governor Kay Ivey.
